Film Mate ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Film Mate mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Film Mate, you agree to this policy.

1. Introduction

Film Mate is a minimalist screen protector helper. It displays a pure black, always-on screen and blocks single-finger touches while you apply a screen protector. The app does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not track your touch input or screen activity.

2. Information We Collect

We collect very little information. Specifically:

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, photos, touch gestures, account credentials, or any content displayed on your screen.

3. Purchases

Film Mate is a one-time purchase of $1.99 USD through the Apple App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information. Purchase records are managed by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

4. How We Use Information

We use crash diagnostics solely to identify, diagnose, and fix technical problems. We do not use crash data for advertising, profiling, or marketing. Crash reports are not linked to your identity.

Crash data collected by Firebase Crashlytics is retained according to Google's data retention policies. We do not maintain separate copies of crash reports beyond what Crashlytics stores on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information only when required by law, to protect our rights, or to respond to valid legal requests. Crash data is shared with Google solely for the purpose of operating Crashlytics.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing crash diagnostics is legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app.

California Residents (CCPA)

We do not sell personal information. California residents may request information about data we collect and ask us to delete it, subject to applicable exceptions. Contact lupases@163.com to submit a request.

9. Children's Privacy

Film Mate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

Film Mate is available on the US App Store and other international regions. It is not available in mainland China. Crash data may be processed in the United States or other countries where Google operates its infrastructure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Film Mate after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
